Get started in minutes
You only need to set up Parkmarkr once. After that, it works automatically every time you park.
Before you begin
Compatible device
Parkmarkr requires a compatible smartphone. Most modern iPhones and Android phones are supported. If your device is not compatible, the app will let you know during setup.
HDB multi-storey carpark
Parkmarkr is designed specifically for HDB multi-storey carparks (MSCP) in Singapore. Underground or single-level carparks are not supported for auto-detection.
Permissions you'll be asked for
Parkmarkr will ask for the following permissions during setup. Here's why each one is needed:
Location (Always)
So Parkmarkr can detect when you arrive at your carpark — even when the app is not open. This is what allows it to work completely in the background.
Activity Recognition
To know when you've finished parking and started walking. This is what triggers the level detection.
Notifications
To send you an instant notification with your parking level after each session.

Setup walkthrough

Open the app and tap "Begin Setup"
On first launch, you'll see a prompt to complete setup before auto-detection can start. Tap the button to begin.

Grant the required permissions
The app will walk you through granting Location, Activity Recognition, and Notification permissions. All three are required for the app to work properly.

Name your carpark and define its levels
Enter a name for your carpark and tell Parkmarkr how the levels are labelled — simple numbers (1, 2, 3), split levels (1A, 1B, 2A...), or custom labels you define yourself.

Add your carpark entrance
Drive to the entrance of your carpark and tap "Set entrance". Parkmarkr will capture your GPS position and take a brief reading. You'll also select which level the entrance is on.

Do the one-time calibration drive
Drive up to the highest level of the carpark and tap "Capture calibration reading". This takes just a few seconds and gives Parkmarkr what it needs to accurately identify all levels.

Save your setup
Review your configuration and tap "Finish Setup". That's it — Parkmarkr is now ready. You won't need to do this again unless you change carparks.
Tips for the best experience
- 💡 Complete setup while physically at your carpark — you'll need to be there to capture the entrance and calibration readings.
- 💡 The calibration drive only takes a few minutes. Drive up to the top level before tapping "Capture".
- 💡 If you park at more than one carpark regularly, you can add multiple entrances.
- 💡 If the app's accuracy drops over time (e.g. after major weather changes), you can re-run setup to refresh the readings.
